Accelerated BSN Programs – With the growing need of nurses in the United States as well as other parts of the world, this easily explains why accelerated BSN programs have been introduced. These are courses that are offered in various institutions. The thing about them is that they produce nurses faster. It is good to note that even though there is a demand only those that are qualified are allowed to take the course.

There are several people that can qualify for this and the first group of people are those people that already have a degree in other disciplines. Accelerated BSN Programs. The courses vary from one school to another but the bottom line is that there are certain criteria that the student is required to have met. A student needs a GPA of 3.0 and it takes twelve to eighteen months to complete.

For a student that already has a bachelor’s degree, they are not required to take the four year course. Before the program can begin, there are some courses that are offered like anatomy, biology, physiology and the like for the students who have not met the natural sciences requirements that have been set. All the institutions will review the student’s transcripts to ensure that this has been met.

For the institutions to better screen the individuals that want to join the programs, there are those that conduct interviews before the student can be admitted. This helps them to know whether the person is hardworking, competitive and self motivated some of the temperaments that are required to complete the course. Accelerated BSN Programs. The program is very short and this means that the lectures are very intense therefore, the student must be well prepared for it and be willing to work hard.

For a degree program that ought to take four years, it is normally condensed to a period of up to eighteen months.
